Delta actively participates in various social welfare activities through strategic integration of corporate core abilities and social welfare. In recent years, Delta has gained rewarding results in popularizing low-carbon housing and transportation, promoting science and energy education and climate actions, and actively cultivating talent. The Delta Electronics Foundation has also actively engaged in international affairs. In 2024, it became an official observer at the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), underscoring its commitment to advancing biodiversity.
Since 2020, the Delta Electronics Foundation has launched “Nurturing Life-Coral Restoration initiative”, leveraging technology and collaborating with domestic and international experts. To date, the Foundation has successfully restored over 10,000 heat-resistant corals and preserved 40 endangered species. Its next goal is to conserve 300 species within the next five years.
At the same time, Delta has continued to promote and expand international cooperation, striving to build platforms for global exchange. In 2024, the Foundation collaborated with the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA) in Pingtung to host the first-ever live broadcast of coral spawning in Kenting and Chaojing. In partnership with Mote Marine Laboratory in Florida, Delta sent volunteers to Mote to learn the coral bleaching rescue mechanism. The Foundation also shared its successful experience to support Singapore NParks’ “100K Corals Initiative” with technological expertise. In addition, Delta completed both Chinese and English editions of Coral, the Forest of the Ocean, a science picture book, and worked with the Jane Goodall Institute to promote it across elementary schools in Taiwan.
In 2025, Delta collaborated with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to introduce international methodologies, marking the first application of such approaches to marine ecosystems. In the same year, the Foundation hosted the first Delta International Coral Restoration Symposium, bringing together 12 leading coral conservation institutions from eight countries. Scholars exchanged insights on the latest research and technologies, injecting new momentum into global coral conservation efforts.
